A downloadable demo for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

Baby's first NES demo, hand written in good old 6502 asm along with some python scripts I wrote for extracting patterns from bitmaps and compiling the .nes file. huiyidraws made the art and animation using Libresprite and the snow logic, general programming odds and ends and what have you were written by noobermin. Has an arrangement of music based on the Toy Day theme by Manaka Kataoka. Released as CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.

Anyway, if you look up "demo" on youtube you expect amazing graphics pushing the machine to its limits etc, etc but it's just a cute little visualization with some music we did to learn how to make games/demos on the NES for a nice holiday project. This is just my way to upload it somewhere I suppose.

Install instructions

Requires a NES emulator or flash cartridge. I haven't tested a flash cartridge but I have burned it to eproms to run it on a hacked cartridge, and it runs fine on my NES. Just as a note if you want to do it the way I did it you'll need a cartridge with an MMC1 mapper on it.
